Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I bought a HP Pavillion Laptop. When I set it up, I chose the Developer Mode option. 2 months later...it would not work. Fast forward to a year later and I needed to use my laptop after not using it and it cant find the drivers. It is not working correctly. It is telling me to activate Windows. I do not have the disc that came with the laptop. How do I fix this? This is practically a brand new laptop but I can't get it to work? I have tried to reset, etc...nothing works.
