HP Chromebook X360 model # 14c-ca0053dx

My daughter uses it for school. The warranty has expired. 
Problem: The chrome-book won’t turn on even if you if use uses power cord.  The power button located on the side is lit up so it has power. I thought I could reset the laptop by taking battery out but I can’t find it..
