Hello,
After realizing my Chromebook had completely died, I plugged it to the charger and left if for 2 days in which my battery light reflected a full charge (white light). When I opened it, the screen was black and the power light was flashing white as if it was in sleep mode. No matter which button i pressed, the screen remained black. Through much research I ended up selecting, esc+refresh+power which brought me to a page to recover ChromeOS. I followed the prompts and used a flash drive to try and recover. Once my Chromebook acknowledged the system recovery was complete, I removed the flash drive and it began to automatically reboot. Problem is, everytime it goes to reboot, it gets stuck in sleep mode and the screen flashes with a backlight everytime the power light flashes. I'm not sure how to get passed this point and I can't seem to find a number to reach out to HP Tech support. I have tried to use a SD card just in case the flash drive was a problem, same issue. I have also lifted the keyboard and disconnected the internal battery for a hard reset, same issue. I've even brought my Chromebook to a computer repair store and they have the same issue.
