I have been experiencing a lot of erratic behavior:
- I am unable to access the apps listed below, b/c I get a blank screen and then I need to toggle the screen size to see anything et all
- files
- text
- settings
- Although I have not enable accessibility features that come with Chrome OS, I understand some of the behavior of the computer indicates this is enabled. Yet, when I look at the settings, I see these are not enabled.
- I experience constant connectivity problems, and but I am effectively unable to run the diagnostics test. When I try, it is already running on its own, always displaying that it is at 15% when I first open the app, without having clicked anything, and then it is difficult to see the results.
I believe the Chromebook is hacked, and I reached out to the Chromebook community but I am not getting help.
The videos below illustrate the problems I've described:
- The erratic behavior of Google's Connectivity diagnostics apps which disables from properly running a test: https://drive.google.com/file/d/18shuKSXfX_6sdimQjUCTVxl45wJeGWP4/view
- The erratic behavior of the native Chromebook Files app which disables from accessing and configuring these: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EIU8Hb45NGaqFcJZ2ieH0mKKpkMhSEeq/view?usp=sharing
- I believe the hacker toggles the accessibility features of the OS, b/c I whenever I experience these problems I see a pink circle whenever I click my mouse. Yet, I don't see any accessibility settings in the system / notification tray, and I am unable to effectively access the setting window. I have never activated the accessibility features, but one of the experts of this forum mentioned the pink circle I see is generated by that functionality. Again, I have not activated/configured this, and I am unable to effectively access the settings window. Here you can view this video that shows the pink circle, the lack of any accessibility related icons on the notification tray, and the fact that I cannot access the settings of this Chromebook: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SjSOlmsOktmVc8SGC68V5kTcuyYQNDPv/view
- This video illustrates, albeit is blurry, that the accessibility settings are not set (please go to 2:13 time to view me trying to get to the accessibility settings. The first section I am struggling to whit the web page of this post). You will see there are no accessibility settings enabled, and yet, the pink circle sometimes appear when when I click my mouse: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Zq1joIn4XoWUwaL5WG6PafxkHR9DSyaI/view
Again, I believe this Chromebook is hacked. How do I get HP support to diagnose it?
Thank you

- Sign out of your Chromebook.
- Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift + r.
- Select Restart.
- In the box that appears, select Powerwash. Continue.
- Follow the steps that appear and sign in with your Google Account. ...
- Once you've reset your Chromebook:
