Hi @SUNFLOWER24,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Chromebook always acts like it's new and is not memorizing your setup, there could be a few possible reasons for this. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Check your Chromebook's settings: Make sure that your Chromebook is set up to save your settings and preferences. To do this, click on the time in the bottom right corner of the screen, then click on the gear icon to open the settings menu. Under "People," make sure that you are signed in to your Google account and that the "Sync" option is turned on. This should ensure that your settings and preferences are saved and synced across all your devices.
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies: Sometimes, clearing your browser cache and cookies can help resolve issues with your Chromebook not remembering your settings. To do this, click on the three dots in the top right corner of your browser window, then click on "More tools" and "Clear browsing data." Make sure to select "All time" as the time range and check the boxes for "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files." Then, click "Clear data" to clear your cache and cookies.
  • Reset your Chromebook: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to reset your Chromebook to its factory settings. To do this, click on the time in the bottom right corner of the screen, then click on the gear icon to open the settings menu. Under "Advanced," click on "Reset settings." From here, you can choose to reset your settings or perform a full factory reset of your Chromebook.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
