Hi @renato332,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Prerequisites
- Backup Data: Ensure that all important files and data are backed up to an external drive or cloud storage, as a clean install will erase all data on the laptop.
- Windows Product Key: Ensure you have your Windows product key if required. For Windows 10/11, the product key is often embedded in the BIOS.
- Create Windows Installation Media: You will need a USB drive with at least 8GB of space to create the installation media.
Create Windows Installation Media
- Download Media Creation Tool:
- Visit the Windows 11 Download page or Windows 10 Download page.
- Download the Media Creation Tool for your version of Windows.
- Create Bootable USB:
- Run the Media Creation Tool and follow the instructions to create a bootable USB drive.
Access BIOS & Boot from USB
- Boot Menu:
- Insert the USB drive into your HP Pavilion x360 Convertible Laptop.
- Restart the laptop and press Esc repeatedly until the Startup Menu appears.
- Press F9 for Boot Device Options.
- Select USB Drive:
- Select the USB drive from the list and press Enter.
Install Windows
- Start Installation:
- The laptop will boot from the USB drive and start the Windows setup process.
- Select your language, time, and keyboard preferences, then click Next.
- Click Install Now.
- Product Key:
- If prompted, enter your Windows product key. If you do not have one, click on "I don't have a product key" if the activation is embedded in BIOS.
- Select Installation Type:
- Choose Custom: Install Windows only (advanced) to perform a clean installation.
- Partition Selection:
- You will see a list of partitions. Select the primary partition where Windows is currently installed (usually labeled as Drive 0 Partition 1 or similar).
- Click Delete for the partition to remove the existing Windows installation.
- Select the unallocated space and click Next to begin the installation.
Complete Installation & Setup
- Follow On-Screen Instructions:
- The Windows installer will copy files and install the operating system. This process may take some time.
- Once the installation is complete, your laptop will restart. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your Windows environment, including user settings, network connection, and preferences.
I hope this helps.
