Product: HP Pavilion 15 cx0514na
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
- After installing new RAM the error message "cmos checksum is invalid" appears on the screen when I attempted to boot it the first time. I did a BIOS update and everything seemed to be working fine. Now upon attempting to boot the power LED comes on for 2 seconds, then shuts off and it tries to boot itself up repeatedly. I have tried taking out the battery and booting again, to no avail. I have also tried holding the Windows key + V, to attempt to boot in bios mode but this doesn't work either.
- I saw various articles recommending I replace the CMOS battery but I can't locate it on my model of laptop, so I assume my laptop is a model without one? How can I solve the cmos issue without being able to replace the battery?
Thanks in advance,
Orlo
