HP Envy x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-fh0000 (77W46AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

I´ve got the Envy x360 15.6 2-in1 Laptop. And I have now problems since exactly one year with TouchPad and Touchscreen.

AND  the service here is truly not able to fix the problem. The Laptop was already 3 times sent to hp (replacing parts etc.) and always all good "what they said".

Nonsence and of course I´m completly frustrated that I found now that the driver "I2C HID" doesn´t work. Uninstalling and automatically installing the correct one is **bleep** ... b´cause doesn´t.

hp told me to upgrade to the latest W11 version 25H2 BUT (!!!) the  driver for the version   25H2 doesn´t exist !!! Oh man ...

I thought I buy a prof. product incl. prof. Support ...

Sorry, but not seen yet. #

Trouble since one year ...

Is there somebody out there to help out ?

@VegasF, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing ongoing issues with your HP Envy x360 15.6 2-in-1 Laptop's TouchPad and Touchscreen. It sounds frustrating that the problem persists even after several service attempts. Here are some additional steps you can try to resolve the I2C HID driver issue:

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Ensure that your Windows operating system is fully updated. Sometimes, Windows updates can resolve compatibility issues with device drivers.

Manual Driver Installation:

  • Visit the HP Support Website and navigate to the driver section for your specific model. Download the latest I2C HID and other relevant drivers manually.
  • Install these drivers from the manufacturer's website instead of relying on Windows to automatically select the best driver.

Device Manager:

  • Open the Device Manager, locate the problematic driver under "Human Interface Devices," right-click and select "Update driver."
  • Choose "Browse my computer for drivers" and point to the location where you downloaded the driver.

BIOS Update:

  • Make sure your BIOS is up to date. Sometimes hardware issues are resolved by updating the system's BIOS.

Hard Reset:

  • Perform a hard reset of your laptop. Shut down your device, disconnect the charger and any external peripherals, and hold the power button for 15 seconds. Then restart your laptop.

HP Diagnostics Tool:

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
