Compaq Presario CQ60-210EP Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello, I can't seem to use the support website to get the BIOS (if it has an update) for my laptop. My current version is F.61 19-11-2009

https://support.hp.com/pt-pt/drivers/selfservice/compaq-presario-cq60-200-notebook-pc-series/3837670...

The upgrades I made were the RAM (3 to 6GB DDR2 800 MHz both), a SSD 120GB Kingston A400 and from 32 to 64 bit OS.

I want it because I tried to upgrade to Windows 8.1 and 10 (both 32 and 64 bit) and it's not working properly, the CPU or the BIOS seems to not handle the fan and GHz correctly like in Vista/7 (rarelly 7 does the same D:<, to update the drivers I use driver booster 9 PRO). What happens is when the CPU is at 100% (which is most of the time 😕 ) it starts to freeze and the fan spins a LOT for about 20 seconds, also the GHZ drop a lot to about 1.15~1.18 GHz and then it kinda works again but for a short time until it does again and again, in other words it becomes unusable most of the time. My question is if it's the CPU or the BIOS that is causing the problem? I have another laptop that is a pentium t3200 merom and it handles windows 10 just fine even at 100%. I'm thinking of changing the CPU since it's the same socket but again it might be a BIOS problem, can I get the latest BIOS please? Thanks.

Edit: The motherboard is a HP 3612, SMBIOS is 2.4 and the CPU is the pentium t4200 penryn.

Hi:

HP retired support for your notebook since it is more than 10 years old.

That is why you can't find a support page for it anymore.

The last BIOS update HP released for your notebook is F.65.

Here are the info and exe links to this update:
