Product: Presario V4000
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP

Hello,

I am repairing a Compaq Presario V4000 for a friend and i need to reinstall windows xp but i have no recovery disks.

i tried to search on the hp support but its a retired product.

Can someone help me?

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

Sorry, but HP no longer carries recovery media for PCs prior to Windows 7.

 

Since HP no longer provides Recovery Media for your model, a couple of other sites you should check are: http://www.computersurgeons.com/ and http://www.restoredisks.com/

Im just stupid because i forgot that my friend has the recovery disks at home and those are the right language! (Dutch)
