I have cleared my memory and updated everything to help the performance of my laptop, but I'm having trouble with the speed of loading and everything else. How do I get the speed back up to what it was. I use it for everything.

If updates and storage cleanup didn’t help, the slowdown is usually caused by background startup apps, power settings, or a failing storage drive.

First, open Task Manager > Startup and disable anything non-essential. Then go to Settings > Power & Battery and set the mode to Best performance. If the system is still slow, check Task Manager > Performance to see if the CPU, RAM, or disk is constantly at high usage.

On older systems, replacing a traditional hard drive with an SSD and ensuring the system isn’t thermally throttling (overheating) makes the biggest real-world speed difference.
