(MAIN ISSUE)My computer was having issues opening applications and my friend reccomended I reinstall the windows. After uninstalling, I plugged in my recovery flash drive but was unable to install due to an error. After googling the error code I found that the issue could be because of an oudated bios so I decided to update my BIOS via flash drive.
(SECONDARY ISSUE)After downloading the specific BIOS for my computer on my second computer connected to the flash drive I ran into some issue. While extracting the setup my laptop kept crashed for no reason. What could be the reason and the fix to it?
I haven’t tried to do it on another computer but I will soon. If the secondary issue is there another way to fix the main issue?

I seriously doubt it's the RAM. More likely, it's a failing drive as that will generate the symptoms you are seeing -- and forcing a Windows reinstall in that case is only going to make things worse.
When you take it in for service, do NOT have them reinstall Windows -- unless they can install an HP OEM version.

Sorry to tell you this -- but problems running apps are almost NEVER fixed by reinstalling Windows. So, your friend gave you bad advice.
Plus, you have an HP OEM version of Windows preloaded and my guess is that did not use the HP Cloud Recovery function to create a USB stick with an HP OEM version of Windows on it. If you FORCE that installation, you will lose all your HP drivers and your laptop will not function correctly, even if you are able to reinstall Windows.
How did you extract the BIOS update files? If you ran the Update, that was a serious mistake -- and could have corrupted the BIOS on the machine you ran it on.

So far I’ve realized it was a pretty bad mistake to uninstall my windows. I’ve also decided against updating my BIOS since it’s risky and isn’t a guarantee fix.
Do you have any advice on what I should do? I am about to bring my laptop to service to see if they can anything about it. I suspect the problem with my laptop unable to open files lies within the RAM sticks from the error code prompted(0x8007025D).
