WHY DOES THE BATTERY LOSE FROM 40 TO 55 PERCENT OF IT CHARGE OVERNIGHT WHEN THE COMPUTER IS TURNED OFF? ARE YOU GOING TO BLAME THAT ALSO ONTO THE SOFTWARE I HAVE LOADED ON THE COMPUTER? YOU BLAME MY SOFTWARE FOR THE COMPUTER FREEZING UP AND IT GIVES ME A "NOT RESPONDING" NOTICE? SO IS THAT WHY THE BATTERY DRAINS OVERNIGHT WHEN IT IS OFF?
And why does the computer constantly freeze when I am scrolling through pages of a document or when i want to save or want to open a document? My old laptop I expected as it only had 8GB of memory and an old processor. This laptop has a recent processor and 32GB of memory. Of course support blames it on my software. I have MS Office, Kofax PDF, I have another computer with an older processor and 32GB of memory I sometimes I might have to wait 1/2 second for it to process. But this laptop I have to wait upwards of 30 to 40 seconds and this goes on all day long. This is the worst HP product I have ever purchased.

I have access to similar laptops and the response is nearly instantaneous on ALL of them, so I have no idea why yours is freezing like this. That usually means overheating, but the others with similar models are not reporting those issues.
Is this still new enough to be under warranty? Asking because you should NOT be having issues like this with a new laptop.
Sorry, but we are just a Community Support forum staffed by part-time volunteers not associated with HP.
We have no access to other HP functional areas including: billing, repair (i.e., Service Centers), sales, or legal (i.e., warranty).
For these issues, your best bet is to contact HP Customer Service to see what they will do for you:
https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/cv/customerservice
IF they won't help you, then tell them you want to return it for a refund and use the money to buy something different that actually works.
I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP
