I had to replace my hard drive on this notebook. I replaced it with the exact same one(new) I downloaded the operating system from HP cloud Recovery onto a 32gb usb flash drive, tried to install it and got this message,”This computer is not supported by the System Recovery Media. You will not be able to continue”.
Error:
0100-832A-82F2#C_RAZR2,82F2#C_SHAVE3,82F9#C_RAZI
How can I get this resolved?
Thanks

Hi:
Unfortunately, I don't know if there is a way to get the recovery media to work when you get an error like that, but you can get your notebook back up and running by reinstalling W10 by creating bootable installation media using the Microsoft media creation tool at the link below.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
After W10 installs, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

You're very welcome.
You won't need the product key to install W10 that way either.
Just select W10 Home from the list of operating systems when you get to that part of the installation menu and, W10 will install and automatically activate.
I have had a few HP PC's where the recovery media refused to work, so I use the workaround of installing a bare version of Windows and then installing the drivers and software from the support page.
I have always found the PC's run better with the plain Windows install then with the HP factory image.
