Whenever my computer would power up, it would give me an option to troubleshoot it, or turn off my PC. When I click on troubleshoot it gives me another two choices, recovery manager, and advanced options. from the videos I can’t get into my computer. that I’ve seen they told me to click advanced options, and then those gives me six options. One is to start a prepare command prompt uninstall updates F i, firmware settings, system, store, and system image recovery. I’m not sure what to choose.

Hi @Maiwithani,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing issues with your HP computer and you're presented with troubleshooting options, here are some steps you can try:

Start with Safe Mode:

  • In the Advanced Options menu, try selecting "Start-up Settings" and then choose "Restart."
  • Once the computer restarts, you should see a list of options. Press the '4' or 'F4' key to start in Safe Mode.

System Restore:

  • From the Advanced Options menu, choose "System Restore."
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to restore your system to a point before the issue starts.

Uninstall Updates:

  • In the Advanced Options menu, select "Uninstall Updates."
  • This will allow you to remove recent updates that might be causing the problem.

Check for Corrupted System Files:

  • Open the Command Prompt from the Advanced Options menu.
  • Type the command sfc /scannow and press Enter. This will scan and attempt to repair corrupted system files.

Check Disk for Errors:

  • In the Command Prompt, type chkdsk /f /r C: (replace C: with the letter of your main drive) and press Enter.
  • This will check for and fix disk errors.

Perform a System Image Recovery:

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
