I have an HP Pavilion. I wanted to reset my laptop and delete everything on it. I clicked on reset in settings but now it does not pass the Reset screen. Every time I turn on the laptop the screen is black with the HP logo. It says “welcome” but then a pop up window opens that says

“Install Windows: the computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click OK to restart the computer and then restart the installation”

When I click OK, the screen goes back to black with the HP logo and then the same pop up appears.
i have not been able to restart the computer because of this pop up & i do not know what the error is or why it cannot restart. It’s been 5 days without accessing my laptop. How do I end this pop up cycle & get access to my laptop again?

If your Windows computer restarts or reboots without any warning automatically or goes into a reboot loop, there are several reasons that could cause this to happen. It could be the failure of some hardware component, over-heating, Windows Update or a Stop Error. Further, I suggest you to check the below link which may help you identify and fix the problem:

Hope it helps!
