Hi,

ESET (an antivirus software) found Computrace components. It seems to be in the BIOS.

Log (I have edit it a bit):

\Device\HarddiskVolume1\EFI\HP\BIOS\Current\ (...) » UEFI » uefi:\\Volume 8\Firmware Volume Image {(...)}\Volume 1\ComputraceComponents - a variant of EFI/CompuTrace.A potentially unsafe application - unable to clean

1. Do HP use Computrace in its BIOSes?

2. Is it safe to use a computer where this is found?

3. Where can I find more information about this?

ESET has this information:

https://support.eset.com/en/kb6567-you-receive-an-eset-uefi-detection

I have updated the BIOS, but I still get the warning.

All the best!
