Unfortunately I had to reinstall Windows 7 Home Premium all has gone well except it cannot find the drivers for the PCI Simple Communications Controller or the Network Controller. Could you direct me to where I can download these. Thanks in advance

Hi,

If you post your model or product number here we can help you find the correct drivers. You might not find the correct network controller driver by going to the driver and software page mentioned above (it will be in the list) as the driver and software support page are usually for a whole series of models. Especially the network driver will have many devices listed and it is important not to install the wrong driver.

Hi,

When I try to download the drivers after selecting Windows/64 bit (or 32 bit) the page says there are no drivers available.

How is that possible?

No other options are offered.

The machine is running Win10 but the CD ROM is not working. It has a Code 52 error (means that Windows does not trust the driver). I want to download the driver and install it manually... which will probably bypass the Code 52 error.

Can somebody please advise what it takes to download the driver?

🙂

P.S. My Atheros 9285 wifi insists it is running correctly... but is not able to connect to any network. It was working fine under Win7 and the USB adapter connects just fine... so it's something to do with the driver? Can somebody please advise on a fix?

PPS. I'm running an SSD and have turned off most extra software... so the laptop is running reasonably well.

PPPS. Get a big orange C logo on startup and it wil only start if the power is disconnected and control-alt-delete is pressed. Otherwise it hangs and just sits there. Can't seem to access the BIOS. I tried upgrading the BIOS but nothing happens. The software doesn't correctly identify the BIOS version and thus can't proceed to flash it. I haven't taken the BIOS battery out to see if it can be reset back to normal yet as you have to take apart the whole computer to get to it. It's running an F17 BIOS... but I'm not sure what the newest BIOS is because the drivers aren't loading. Any suggestions?
