Hp Notebook G62
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My Notebook G62. The screen is black not coming on.The keyboard's wireless light is constantly on in red whiles the caps lock key blinks after ever 2-3 seconds.I searched on Google and I was directed to hp site where I learned that the light code for the blinking  means The CPU is not functioning so I need your help on how to fix this CPU not functioning issue or if it maybe some other issue please let me know. THANK YOU

You can not "fix" a failing CPU.  That chip is soldered to the system board of the laptop and is not replaceable.  You have to replace the entire system board which HP does not sell, forcing you to buy a USED on online somewhere.  In addition, the Windows license is tied to the system board, so when you replace the board, you have to buy a new Windows license.

 

The combined cost of these is most likely to be more than simply replacing the laptop.
