Creating recovery media on password protected USB

HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I hope to soon get a new laptop, & have always previously created recovery discs, but I wondered how you go about creating recovery media on USB sticks on laptops with no DVD drive?

Basically, it all seems pretty straight forward, but I see that many of the better quality USB sticks now have password protection, & I wondered if this could cause an issue?

Many thanks in advance.

Many new machines now do not have this option. You can use Cloud Recovery Tool any time (using USB) no need to keep Recovery Media. The link is
