I can’t get my pc to work properly anymore. It is a hp 15s laptop with Windows 11.
I have tried restarting, but no success. It seems to be stuck in a loop.
Under Advanced Options, I have tried -
Startup Repair - it didn’t work.
Startup Settings - number 5, enable safe mode with networking. That didn’t work, the critical process died error shows again.
Uninstall updates- i tried both quality and latest feature update and that doesnt work - it says ran into a problem and wont be able to uninstall the latest update.
System Restore - i pick the last system restore point which was about 2 weeks ago, i try to restore it but i get a msg that says You must always restore the drive that contains Windows. Restoring other drives is optional. Local Disk C: System you must enable protection on this drive. I then can’t go further. I have tried the other system restore dates and i get the same message.
Command Prompt - i have tried sfc.exe , then sfc /scannow, and it runs verification. Verification is 100% complete. It says Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.
Please help? I have no idea what to do.
