OK - pared down to the essentials:
The 2004 update is out-dated at this point.
The 20H2 update is for a different version of Windows (newer than 2004) - this won't install unless the machine is already running Windows 2009 (20H2).
The likely viable path at this point is to stop trying to install the "optional update" for a version of Windows you are not running.
If your system won't update, can't update, won't stop trying to update, then you will have to find a way to move forward.
One way to do that: Manually install the version of Windows you want to run.
If you want to run / install the newer version of Windows,
Back up your data to somewhere other than the local machine.
READ about the versions of Windows - decide whether and how to proceed.
Current and past release information - how to get what you want...
Open and read:
Windows 10, version 20H2 and Windows Server, version 20H2
At this writing, 20H2 is the current "newest" Windows.
My opinion:
Checking your computer to see if it has the general capability to run the latest Windows version.
For example, open the device home page > category Software and Drivers > expand the list - peruse.. At the least, you should have a viable and recent BIOS update available. Open the BIOS page, check the supported versions of Windows.
Manually installing the Windows version you want is usually cleaner than any "update" operation.
>>> Go to section: Create Windows 10 installation media
NOTE: Your product key is included in the BIOS, if asked (during installation), indicate you don't have the key and continue - the installation will find the embedded key and continue with the install.
