Hi @Lady2026,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you might be experiencing an issue where your desktop icons are not displaying. Here are some general troubleshooting steps for an HP PC that can help resolve this issue:

Show Desktop Icons

  1. Right-click on the desktop.
  2. Hover over the "View" option.
  3. Make sure "Show desktop icons" is checked. If it is not, click on it to enable.

Restart Windows Explorer

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open the Task Manager.
  2. Click on "More details" if needed to expand the view.
  3. Find and select "Windows Explorer" in the list.
  4. Click the "Restart" button in the bottom right corner of the Task Manager window.

Check for Hidden Icons

  1. If your taskbar is set to auto-hide, move your mouse to the bottom of the screen to display it.
  2. Check the area for minimized icons or notifications that might be obstructing the view.

Display Settings

  1. Right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings."
  2. Ensure the resolution is set to the recommended settings for your display.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
