Cursor not visible except when moving on touch pad, and it flashes as it moves. No mouse in use

My wife only uses this laptop for her Cricut device, without a cursor showing all the time it's a pain

May be your system is overperforming and some program is not responding. Have a look on task manager. Try disable unnecessary start up program. check if the software she is using for ckt designing is compatible with your pc or not.

Task manager shows very little in use, less the 20% usage, start menu has only 5 items, nothing I would think cause a conflict
