I would like to ask, why every time i turn on my laptop there is a notification from my security software, stated that a software named DEVICE CENSUS.EXE tried to open my webcam unpredictable.

I scared maybe this software belongs to some malware agents so, what should i do?

I found this EXE is one part of Windows 10 system.

So, is it good to delete it or what to do???

Personally, I do NOT like MS spying on me, which is why I have ALL the telemetry blocked on all my Win10 PCs, as well as Cortana disabled.

In addition, everyone I know has their built-in laptop cameras blocked with tape or cardboard.  I would advise you to do the same.

But ... your PC is your choice ..

Here is information on the CENSUS app:  https://www.winhelponline.com/blog/device-census-using-webcam-telemetry-kaspersky-warning/

OH MY GOD!

I didn't do like that since the beginning! But how can we know that someone controlled the camera? Any sign like the white indicator LED turn on or what?

I never put any tape there. Then, did it spy on me already? Snap my picture...

What do you think? anybody?
