HP Notebook - 15-da0091ne

My HP BIOS shows “Type1ProductConfigId ABCDEF0123” instead of my real Product Number. Because of that, TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot are disabled, and BIOS updates fail. I believe my DMI data needs to be reprogrammed. Can you please guide me or schedule remote DMI restoration?

@Glvdiator, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query.

Thank you for reaching out. The issue you’re describing “Type1ProductConfigId ABCDEF0123” showing instead of the correct Product Number, TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot disabled, and BIOS updates failing is caused by missing or corrupted DMI (Desktop Management Interface) data in the system board. This prevents the BIOS from identifying the system correctly.

Unfortunately, DMI restoration cannot be done remotely by the end user. It requires HP-authorized tools and access to the system board configuration utility, which is only available to HP service technicians.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
