I tried to roll back my Windows 11 Windows Insider version to the regular Windows 11 release version. The update took a long time and eventually failed to complete. I have tried all the options I could find on the Internet as well as from this forum:

1. Recovered the BIOS

2. Used the HP Cloud Recovery Tool

3. Reinstalled from USB using the Windows Media Creation Tool for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Both failed.

 

All of the above options failed with the DRIVER_PNP_WATCHDOG error. I have run diagnostics and there were no problems detected. It appears that this problem is quite common but so far I have not seen anything that definitely fixes the problem.

 

Any other ideas or suggestions on where I could take the notebook to get the problem fixed?
