I have an HP Probook G1. A while ago, my battery died, meaning that I could only turn on and use my laptop as long as it was plugged in with the charger. However, as of a couple days ago, now it will not turn on at all even when it is plugged in. The power button flashes white but otherwise does not respond to being pressed. I've tried the following solution I found online: unplugging my laptop, removing the battery, pressing and holding the power button for 30 seconds, plugging the laptop in again, and putting the battery back in. This has not worked or made any difference. Is there anything else I can do? What might the problem be? I don't want to replace the charger or battery since I would rather just save up and buy a whole new laptop over the summer, but I need this one now for school.
