Probook 455 G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased a computer via an auction site. It came without a hard drive. I then purchased one and installed it. Installed a fresh copy of Windows 10 64 bit. After sucessfully installing Windows 10 it booted just fine the first time. Now, after the Windows 10 spinning circle appears a few times, it comes to some type of security screen telling me that the device name has changed and is "unauthorized" and the machine is locked! I have full access to the BIOS, etc. I've tried resetting to factory defaults, etc. I can't seem to find where this is coming from. I've tried contacting the seller, but they sold it "as is" because the hard drive was missing. I assume they knew of this issue and was trying to hide it. Any help would be appreciated.

To be honest with you, I have never seen this message before. However, I want to learn more about it

  • Can you please take a bigger picture of this showing the entire screen ?
  • I want to see if any logo there and to be able to see what may be triggering the message ?
  • I want to see if this is real or fake message ?
  • Can you take a video of the entire boot process ?
  • Do you have a message to skip/ignore/bypass this message and continue normal boot ?
  • I don't see who you need to call (as per the message)
  • Have you installed something after you installed Windows - drivers, 3rd party software ?

Looking forward to your reply
