HP 14-dk0018na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I’ve recently purchased the HP 14-dk0018na laptop and my main usage can involve constantly using the SD Card reader slit.  However once Card reader is inserted it’s not spring loaded so removing it is very difficult and virtually impossible if you have fat fingers and no nails, you would need tweezers to remove it. Is this normal for this model or do I have a faulty laptop. Seems like a very silly thing not to have spring loaded, my last HP laptop from 7 years ago was spring loaded.

It uses push-push operation. Please do NOT force it out. You can simply and gently push it in again then release, it will come out.

Regards.

Thanks for the reply but 100% it’s not spring activated, from the very 1st time I put it in it didn’t feel spring loaded and it’s definitely not on this one. I’ve tried a gentle push and a double push and it doesn’t release itself. The only way to remove the card is to pinch it out.
