Hello!

From time to time I observe error 3F0 during boot time. When I enter F2 - diagnostics, I see that no drive is installed. Then  I have to turn laptop off (by pressing power on button 4 seconds) and on again. Then the drive appears and everything works fine, It happens one-two times a week. When Windows is running fine I can run diagnostics and it finds no issues,

What should I do about this? All drivers, bios and updates are up to date. Is this prediction of permanent disk failure?

Kind regards,

Dariusz

The Boot Device Not Found Error, or most commonly said Hard Disk 3F0 error is generally occurs when hard disk does not support the system boot process. It mainly happens due to incorrect boot sequence, damaged MBR or boot sector, hard drive connection issue, malware attack, corrupt drive partition or damaged hard drive.

Further, to fix the error, you can try the below methods:

1. Perform Hard Reset
2. Reset BIOS default settings
3. Reset Hard Drive

Hope it helps!

Hello!

Thanks for replying. Anyway, the problem shows up only from time to time. Turning off and on again always helps. I wonder if reset may be helpfull, because it's hard to say whether it helps or not. Maybe some connection is loose?
