Hello everybody.

If I format the disk (diskpart, list disk, sel disk, clean, create partition primary, format fs = ntfs) and everything goes well. How is it possible that 5 GB of hidden files that look like Windows system files remain on my disk?

If I type dir at X: Source>. This will display a large number of files Total 5.09 Gb.

What is it and how can I get rid of it?

Thank you for your response.

You don't format a disk; you format a partition ON a disk.

Go into Disk Management and look at the disk -- most likely, there is another partition there, as well.

This means that the format command must be used for the partition?

That is, with the command: List partition, select partition and format?

I will use the clean command for the disk.

That's right, isn't it?

Thank you for your response.

A disk is made up of more than one volume.  When you format, that only affects one volume at a time,

So, if you want the entire disk to be blank, you have to remove ALL the volumes.
