Probook 4730s
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

My probook quit working and I tried to repair it and now it won't boot at all. I tried to download a disk image from microsofts website but they said i had to contact hp because windows 7 was preinstalled. When I called hp to try and get help I reached a woman that I couldn't understand and was cut off.  I need to know where I can download a disk image for my laptop. Its  a probook 4730s, product # XU076UT#ABA.

Hi:

This site claims to have genuine, unadulterated W7 ISO files for download...

https://www.heidoc.net/joomla/technology-science/microsoft/67-microsoft-windows-iso-download-tool

Click on the link labeled Windows ISO Downloader.exe

Select the:

Win 7 Pro SP1 (Retail version, but the  OEM key on your PC's case may work with it)

Then you can use this tool i zipped up and attached to transfer the file to a 4 GB USB flash drive

Now, I know this will work for models in the USA/Canada, but if you live in a EU country, the product key may not work with the ISO file.

This recent post shows the above method does work with PC's sold in the USA/Canada.

If the above method doesn't work for you, you can order recovery media by phone by calling the HP business PC support number for your country.

You can only order recovery media for business PC's by telephone.

Here is an old listing I have.  Perhaps the number for your country is still valid.

Have the serial number of the PC handy to give to the customer services rep.
