Hello good morning.

I have a Toshiba laptop with Windows 10.

I understand that the Dism and Sfc commands are used to repair the system.

I have these commands which are:

dism /online /cleanup-image /StartComponentCleanup
dism /online /cleanup-image /CheckHealth
dism /online /cleanup-image /ScanHealth
dism /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth
Sfc/Scannow

Are these commands the same in Windows 11? And what platform would it be done on (Cmd, Powershell)

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

 

Here is a simplified protocol -I run this at least monthly on my PCs:

 

  1. Press the Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog.
  2. Type: cmd and hit Enter to open the Command Prompt.
  3. first run: sfc /scannow
  4. next: dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

 

And yes, these commands are the same for W11.
