HP Pavilion - 14-ce3504na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After Windows 11 upgrade everything appears to be OK for a few days. Then display starts flickering after laptop is started. I have tried this upgrade 2x with same result both times. Only solution is to revert to Windows 10. If I look at the HP support site for this laptop then Windows 11 is not a stated option. However the MS Windows 11 checker says laptop OK for Windows 11. Also the HP Windows 11 checker says OK for Windows 11!

Any suggestions welcome?

Hi:

It sounds to me like Windows Update is installing a graphics driver sometime shortly after you have upgraded, if everything is working fine and then a couple days later, the display starts flickering.

What I recommend you do is to try upgrading to W11 again.

Then as soon as the upgrade is completed, run the Microsoft Hide Windows Update utility that I zipped up and attached below.

Unzip and run the file.

The utility will check for pending updates.

Hopefully, it will find a graphics driver update pending to be installed.

If it does, check the box to hide the graphics driver update.

The utility will run again and report that the problem is 'Fixed.'

Restart the PC and see if that resolves the problem which you should know whether or not it was successful after a few days or so.
