HP Notebook 17-by1062st Product 6GR94UA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a new (one week) HP Notebook 17-by1062st Product 6GR94UA. I set a display screen saver to start after two minutes of inactivity and the display to turn off after one additional minute of inactivity (total of three minutes of inactivity). The screen saver DOES start after two minutes of inactivity and the display DOES turn off after one additional minute of inactivity.

The problem is that the display then turns itself on again after three additional minutes without any input or activity from me. The screen saver comes on again after more two minutes and the display turns off again after one additional minute after that, and this time the display stays off. In other words, the entire cycle repeats itself a second time.

How do I get the prevent this second cycle from happening.

Screen saver won't save your screen but will kill your machine (and battery) faster because we don't use old style monitors (CRT) monitors. Anyway, this is a tool from Windows. Please try

BH, can I ask you to read my post (and my other post in the same thread from a few minutes earlier) once again. Note the details in both.

The problem is with the display turning itself on again after it is turned off in specific circumstances.

Thanks.
