Hi:
HP retired support for that model series since it is more than 10 years old.
Does your notebook have the Intel graphics or the nVidia graphics adapter?
Here are most of the XP drivers you need for the other devices...
First install this driver and restart the PC.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32501-33000/sp32555.exe
Audio: If you have installed XP SP2, install this first and restart the PC.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32501-33000/sp32646.exe
Then install the audio driver and restart the PC.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp33001-33500/sp33443.exe
Ethernet:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32001-32500/sp32144.exe
SD card reader:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp33001-33500/sp33416.exe
Now, you probably have other devices needing drivers besides the graphics, such as the wifi, so please post the hardware ID's for those devices:
To find the hardware ID, you must have SP2 or newer installed.
To find the hardware ID, go to the device manager and click on the device needing the driver.
Then click on the Details tab at the top of the device.
Post the string of characters that begin with PCI/VEN.

Yes, that is the Intel wifi card...Here's the driver you need for that.
