Hi, a response in here https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Operating-Systems-and-Recovery/Does-hp-elitebook-840-g5-is-eli... says G5 840 supports Windows 11, but some G5 840's have 7 th gen Intel processors, which are not listed by Microsoft to support Windows 11: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/windows-11-supported-int...

So is it that only G5:s with 8th gen processors will support Windows 11 to be clear?

Or are 7th gen processors supported partially or for a certain period/first major updates etc?

ps. I couldn't select a category for this question. It might be a (UX) bug when one has not added a HP product to a user profile.

Hi @vaanjoku

for processors 7 Th generation is not supported, you must do a forced installation of windows, unfortunately.  but on the other side it has drivers compatible with windows 11, although they are for 8th generation processors you can use them.4
