Windows installed a "firmware" update, restarted, and that's it – a black screen. Pressed Win+V, Win+B – no result, 502, CMOS reset. Created a BIOS recovery flash drive – it goes through the procedures, and at the end, "BIOS recovery 500" appears. Then it restarts, and nothing happens, just a black screen. Removed all SSDs – no result. Also removed the battery for 10 minutes – no effect.

I think it's because there was a password set on the BIOS. I know the password.

Take out the main battery - take out the bios battery, leave it for a minimum of 2 hours and let it completely fade - then follow the how to hard reset with power plugged in and nothing else, if she breathes then qflash and roll back bios, reboot - working ? then shut down and put cmos back in. start again and working ? then job done and put main battery back - take a deep breath and smile

if not leave longer without power to drain then try again in that order ;0)

Password will disappear if one was set once it breathes again - cmos reset would have done this and no power for hours does wonders

HP will send you a generic script soon (they send it to everyone) so choose your weapon that works

When I press Power + Win + B, the Omen logo appears for 0.5 seconds, then the fans slow down, and it seems to reboot with a black screen and nothing but the humming of the fans.

I tried removing the battery for over 2 hours—no change. When I press Power + Win + V, a "CMOS Reset 502" window appears, with a cursor that I can move using the touchpad or mouse. I press Enter, the laptop restarts, and the screen goes black again.

I can turn the keyboard backlight on and off once while the screen is black, but after that, it stops responding.

I reinstalled the BIOS again, but nothing changed. It says the BIOS was recovered (500), restarts, and the fans run quieter, but nothing else happens.

To clarify, this issue started after a firmware update through Windows

Update.
