Dowloading files

I keep trying to download files onto my laptop and it's saying virus security not verified. Can someone help I can't even download my virus protection?

This could be an issue with Windows Defender -- but to determine that, we need the precise error message you are seeing, as that is not a standard error message.

OK, that's an error message from the Browser you are using, so we need to know which Browser you are using to do the downloads as it is saying the files are infected and thus refusing to let you save them on your PC.

i use google chrome and the internet explorer

I don't know why you would have issues with Chrome, but IE is tied into Windows Defender -- and I had to disable that on all my PCs because it was interfering with everything I was downloading.

You should do searches on that to see what settings you want to disable so you can then download stuff.
