Hi.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_3913140-3876462-16 (HP products tested with Windows 10)
Lists various HP systems that have been tested with various releases of Windows 10. Does this mean that a system on this list shipped with Wndows 11 can be downgraded to a customer purchased (from retail store, online, whatever) OEM or retail version of windows 10 (and product code) can be installed and activated. In addition, windows update will work and all hardware will be recognized and the proper driver installed by the windows 10 setup? Thanks.

Hi:
Yes, it does as long as you install one of the supported builds of W10.
You can install W10 and it will work with the W11 product key in the PC's BIOS and work just as if it had come with W10.
As you can see on the support page HP has included the W10 drivers needed for the 445 G9.

You're very welcome.
It's hard to say, but normally nothing goes wrong, and it shouldn't take long to do.
There is also the HP cloud recovery client utility that you can use to install W10.
It should give you two options...create recovery media for W11 or W10.
Here is a link for how to use the utility...
Pay particular attention to the section regarding installing the drivers after the OS has been installed:
NOTE:
Without installing Shortcut_to_HPSoftwareSetup.exe, you cannot install any drivers or applications.
Here's the link to the software installation file:
