Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone,

I'm once again needing some help to figure out want drivers to install.

I made a clean Windows 10 64-bit (22H2) install on my  HP Pavillon Power 15 cb025nf and I'm missing some drivers.

Here is the list found on device manager :

- PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller

- PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller

- PCI Device

- PCI Memory Controller

- PCI Simple Communications Controller

- SM Bus Controller

- Unknown device

- Unknown device

- Unknown device

- Unknown device

The only driver I have installed so far is Nvidia graphics 528.02 for the GTX 1050 inside. The keyboard backlight and the mousepad multi-touch are not working.

I found the drivers page for my PC (https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-power-15-cb000-laptop-pc/15551388/model...) but I have no clue what to install.

Maybe you can help Paul_Tikkanen the great.

Thanks in advance,

Hi:

If you can't put the PC in sleep mode or change the screen brightness, then the PC does not like the graphics driver you installed.

I recommend you install the Intel and Nvidia graphics drivers from your notebook's support page:

Driver - HP Pavilion Power - 15-cb025nf | HP® Customer Support

Driver - HP Pavilion Power - 15-cb025nf | HP® Customer Support

After you get the right graphics drivers installed, install this driver for the Fn key support.

Hi:

First install the Intel chipset installation utility and restart the PC.  That will install most of those devices.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp101001-101500/sp101171.exe

The PCI simple comms controller needs this driver:

Intel Management Engine Driver

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp143001-143500/sp143155.exe

The PCI device needs this driver:

Realtek USB and PCIe Media Card Reader Drivers

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp98501-99000/sp98820.exe

One of the PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller and Unknown devices needs this driver:

Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Driver

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp95001-95500/sp95216.exe

If you still have devices remaining that need drivers, please post the hardware ID's for them, so I can figure out what drivers they need.

Hello again,

After all the drivers installation you sent me above, I still three Unknown device listed on Device Manager. Here they are with their Hardware IDs :

- Unknown device
ACPI\VEN_HPQ&DEV_6007
ACPI\HPQ6007
*HPQ6007

- Unknown device
USB\VID_8087&PID_0A2A&REV_0003
USB\VID_8087&PID_0A2A

- Unknown device
ACPI\VEN_HPQ&DEV_6001
ACPI\HPQ6001
*HPQ6001

Note also that I can't put the PC on sleep for some reason, I can't change the screen brightness with the function keys, and the keyboard backlight and the mousepad multi-touch gesture are not working.

Thanks again for your help,

Hi !

Everything now works flawlessly. Except for the mousepad multitouch gesture. I will try to figure it out.

Thanks a lot for your help. Once again you proved to be the best support in here.

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

Did you install the touchpad driver from your notebook's support page?

Hi Paul_Tikkanen,

The ELAN driver did it for the touchpad issue.

But I have one last question, is there a way to tweak the system for better performance ? I'm having low fps on games that should perform the double. The GTX 1050 is fully used but the performance is not as I would except.

Thanks,

Hi:

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you with that because I don't play video games and never tweak my graphics adapter settings.

All I use PC's for is e-mail and web surfing and an occasional video.
