My laptop crashed and all efforts to automatically restore failed.
I created a Windows 10 installation USB and everything now seems to be running ok.
I have just checked the HP page for drivers for my laptop and there are lots of categories and within each category several driver versions.
Is there a way to identify which drivers I need to install from the selection.
I have done driver updates in Device Manager but there appear to be other drivers that aren't visible in device manager eg Thunderbolt.
Thanks.

Welcome to HP Community
I have gone through your Post and would like to help
I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...
HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
-
Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
-
Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
-
Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
-
Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
-
Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Also ensure Windows is up to date.
Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available
Keep me posted how it goes
Thank you and have a wonderful day 😊

Thank you for your reply.
I followed your instructions and it didn't bring up any updates.
I also went through each device in turn in Device Manager and applied any updates.
Windows is up to date.
Does that mean that alldevices within the computer will now have the drivers they need?
I did see one relating to the Thunderbolt connector - would that one have installed if required?
Thanks for your help.

If there are no updates available right now means the computer already has all the require updates. But every now and then Microsoft or HP will be releasing updates and the computer drivers should automatically get updated
If the Thunderbolt port is working it means the drivers were successfully installed
Thank you
