Hi everyone,
I used to have two operating systems installed on my Hp Pro Book (Windows 10, Linux mint) for the last few years and everything was fine but suddenly when i tried to get into Windows 10 about 3 Weeks ago i got a blue screen of death with Stop code: DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE, I tried to install Windows 10 again and these are my observations:
1. The blue screen of death appears after installing the nvidia driver. i have to press the power button to power off my ProBook.
2. After updating Bios, my ProBook restarts but the screen remains black, the sound of the fan goes louder and everything seems stuck. i have to press the power button for a while to power off my ProBook. i don't know if there's a connection between this problem and the nvidia driver because the nvidia driver makes my ProBook unstable and i can't even install Windows updates!
3. Now i have Linux mint installed, the nvidia driver for Linux is also installed, i used a tool called "glmark2" to test my nvidia graphic card and it's working fine. right now i am using nvidia (Performance mode) and i can install Linux apps normally until now but i can't update the Linux kernel, i hope it's a Linux mint problem.
4. After removing the nvidia driver on Windows 10 the blue screen disappeared and now i am wondering if there's a solution!
