Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone, my name is gianluca and I would like to ask yourself a question.
I installed ubuntu on my HP but now I wanted to reinstall windows 10 from scratch, but as soon as I start the installation from USB it tells me that a driver necessary for my computer is missing but it does not specify which one.
I don't know if you will see it but I also upload a screenshot. Could you give me a hand?Schermata del 2021-08-21 09-40-01.png

That is very unfortunate.

I was hoping installing W10 from the USB C port would work since it worked for the other person.

The only other thing you can try would be to see if an older version of W10 will work.

Here is the link to the W10 v2004 ISO file  64 bit Italian version.

https://software-download.microsoft.com/pr/Win10_2004_Italian_x64.iso?t=00d3fff1-bd0d-408a-86b9-72a5...

The link will be good for 24 hours from the time of this reply.

Use the rufus tool to make a bootable UEFI installation file.

Rufus - Create bootable USB drives the easy way

This file is also small enough to burn to a standard DVD and you can use a USB DVD and try to install that way as well.

There has to be a way to beat this problem.

Thanks, I had already found the drivers but they are in exe format and therefore during the installation I can not do anything. I'm from Ubuntu now.
Do I have to download the exe file, extract it and put it on a usb stick and insert it when it asks me to load the missing drivers?

HP Recommended

Did not work.

I downloaded all the drivers and during the installation when it gave me the error I tried them one by one but nothing. I don't really know what to do.

Read everything carefully, a user of the same type of computer has succeeded

Extracting the Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers to the USB drive
Download IRST drivers from the HP Software and Drivers web page and extract them to your USB drive.
  1. Go to the Software and Drivers page for your model:
    1. Type the serial number, product number, or product name to go to the software and drivers page for your computer model.
  2. Under Driver-Storage, download the Intel RST driver (RAID) driver to your desktop. Do not install the downloaded file.
  3. Right-click on the downloaded file, select Extract to, and then select the USB drive you used to create the Windows 10 installation media.
The computer copies the files, including in the driver package, to the USB drive.

Now I try again. Wait..

Thanks. I'll give it a try.

Hi, @gianlucab28

The instructions that HP posted are incorrect.  There is no Extract to: option when you right click on the exe file unless you install a free file utility such as 7-zip.

Please see this discussion below and it will help you get W10 installed on your drive.

You can use the same driver as the one in the discussion.

as i said the previous user and others after following what was given were successful!
The user in the last given link to practically the same computer, if that doesn't work there may be another problem

https://support.hp.com/hr-en/document/c06989562

other users have probably found a way to unzip otherwise!
