Compaq 6910p
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello all,

I've recently wiped and installed Windows 7 on a Compaq 6910p which I found when sorting my office out at work.

I've been trying to get it up and running for what we need it to do, but I've been unable to find some of the drivers I need.

The ones I need are as follows:

Base System Device

Hardware IDs - PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0843&SUBSYS_30C1103C&REV_10

                            PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0843&SUBSYS_30C1103C

                            PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0843&CC_088000

                            PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0843&CC_0880

Fingerprint Sensor

Hardware IDs - USB\VID_08FF&PID_2580&REV_0623

                            USB\VID_08FF&PID_2580

RICOH Bay8Controller

Hardware IDs - PCMCIA\RICOH-Bay8Controller-F1B2

                            PCMCIA\RICOH-Bay8Controller-0000-0000

                            PCMCIA\RICOH-0000-0000

Unknown Device

Hardware IDs - ACPI\SMCF010

                            *SMCF010

Unknown Device

Hardware IDs - ACPI\HPQ0006

                            *HPQ0006

If anyone can help me with links to drivers for these, or suggestions as to where I can find them, I'd appreciate it!

Hi:

You need these drivers...

Base System Device & RICOH Bay8Controller:

This package contains the Ricoh Media Card Reader Driver for the supported notebook/laptop models and operating systems. The Ricoh Media Card Reader driver provides support for the following media: Memory Stick, xD-Picture Card, MMC, SD, and SmartCard.

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp45001-45500/sp45112.exe

Fingerprint Sensor:

This package contains the driver for the AuthenTec Fingerprint Sensor in the supported notebook models and operating systems. NOTE: To use a fingerprint to logon to a Microsoft Windows or Microsoft Windows Vista notebook, the HP ProtectTools Security Suite software is required.

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp39001-39500/sp39199.exe

ACPI\SMCF010:  You have to get that driver from windows update.  Be connected to the internet.  Go to the device manager and click on the ACPI\SMCF010 needing the driver.  Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update driver.  Select the automatic search option, and Windows Update will find, download and install the SMSC fast infrared driver.  It may take a few minutes, so be patient.

ACPI\HPQ0006:

This package contains the software that enables the HP Quick Launch Buttons, which are special function keys on HP Notebooks. This software works with supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.
