Hello,
This is about:
- Pavilion G4-1104dx
- Windows 7 (32-bits)
Apparently someone reinstalled "windows 7 Ultimate" and removed all the laptop dirvers. So the webcam is not reconized and the keyboard installed doesn't match with the hardware.
I download the "keyboard" drivers for pavilion g4-1200 (from "hp support" site), because is has the same keyboard as my Pavilion.
I also downloaded and installed the webcam direvers (from the same source)..
BUT...
After installed them, nothing happened, no changes at all:
- The keyboard is still the same
- The webcam program says: "no webcam is installed"
(there is no button to activate/disactivate webcam neither)
I am not a computer expert.. so I do not know if I should install the full BIOS or Windows from scratch again in order to install these dirvers..
What I need is the "webcam" and the "correct keyboard" installed.
From the link below I got the drivers and they are all there: BIOS, etc.. BUT I don't konw what I should download.. and if it would be possible to install them without having to reinstall windows.

So many questions, sorry.. I hope someone has some answers.
MANY THANKS in advance!

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you are trying to update the keyboard and webcam driver,I am glad to assist you.
Update the Bios, chipset, and drivers using HP Support Assistant.
Download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: Click here
- HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
- Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
- Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
- Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
- Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
- Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Also, ensure Windows is up to date.
- Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available
Let me know how it goes.
To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
Cheers.

@Sadnytechy20,
Yesterday I had the time to try your suggestions and I have managed to download the HP Support Assistant (previously updating the windows NetFrame 4.5 which was needed).
I have run it and says that all was up to date, BUT still:
- the installed "keyboard" doesn't match with the hardware (currently installed: Keyboard PS/2 standard)
- the "webcam" is not detected
- in settings, the microphone has the green tick but the green bars on the side (which should go up and down when I talk) do not move, are all grey.
1. Probably I have:
- ..to delete the current installed drivers and then install the correct one?
- ..to overwrite the full BIOS - Operating System?
I don't know if that is possible without having to reinstall windows, am not an expert.
2. Is there any way to detect if the webcam (hardware) is broken without having to dismantle the laptop? Probably the cables is cut..
Thanks to the HPSA I have managed to find:
The Product Number: LW233UA#ABA
Serial Number: 5CD1201GP2
Many thanks!
