HP250 G6 N4000
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi guys,

I am here now because yesterday I purchased a brand new HP250 G6 N4000 notebook with FreeDOS and seperatly  WIN 7 64bit.

But I have issues to install it.

Unfortunately the shop assistant told me this notebook is perfectly fit with WIN7 and WIN10.

I spent my night to download WIN7 and in the morning started to install.

I created a USB Install pendrive.

It starts to install. But it stuck when ask for the installation file of the DVD writer. I can not skip this step.

I tried to find many solutions, for example I downloaded the file for G5 and put it in the same pendrive, but it does not work, I can browse for the file but only on the computer and not on the pendrive.

As I read there are many problems to install WIN7, but if anyone can help me I am really appreciate.

thanks

Hi:

You can't run W7 on that PC because there are no USB 3.1 drivers necessary for W7 to install.

If your notebook has a DVD drive, create a DVD W7 installer and that should work , but no W7 graphics, or USB 3.1 drivers exist since Intel did not develop any.

You will not have an enjoyable experience with W7.
