Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

Recently I have upgraded my laptop to Windows 11 based upon the recommendation from Microsoft popup screens, anyway after the upgrade I am having a flickering issue with the entire laptop stopping to respond for a couple of seconds. not for any obvious reason.

The mouse stops , the keyboards buffers the keystrokes but do not show them on the screen (although the cursor keeps blinking) until the flickering stops

I checked the drivers but everything seemed in order

Most of what I was able to find online was related to the Display Drivers, I was able to upgrade the NVidia driver but I was never able to upgrade the Intel UHD Driver because the upgrade is locked by the Manufacturer (that is that the Intel Setup mentioned ! )

I checked HP for any drivers, but it seems that most of the drivers were related to Windows 10 and the latest Intel Driver is version 23 while on intel the latest version is 30.X

So what should I do to diagnose the flickering issue as it is pretty annoying while doing my work ? Where can I find windows 11 updated drivers ?

Regards,

Latief

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • When was the last time it worked without these issues?
  • Have you updated Graphics and Chipset drivers?
  • Have you checked the display on an external monitor?

Let’s try these steps to resolve the problem:

I recommend you attempt to access the BIOS screen by tapping on F10 while the computer is restarting,

If the issue persists in the BIOS screen which is outside windows, it would confirm a hardware failure.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
