Hi

Yes it is, however you may want to consider VirtualBox  which will allow you to only boot one OS and have the other accessible from within the first.

"Presently, VirtualBox runs on Windows, Linux, Macintosh, and Solaris hosts and supports a large number of guest operating systems including but not limited to Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10), DOS/Windows 3.x, Linux (2.4, 2.6, 3.x and 4.x), Solaris and OpenSolaris, OS/2, and OpenBSD."

Hope the above helps.

Can I use EasyBCD software to do dual boot windows 10 and 7 without format on hp laptop?

HP Recommended

Hi

Research Research and Research.

What do you want to achieve?

What OS have you currently got installed.

EasyBCD can/will add another OS to the Boot Menu, but first you have to install the OS, either VirtualBox with no partitioning or formatting as such, OR make space and create partitions and format.

W7 may prefer Legacy/MBR and W10 GPT/Secure Boot, therefore putting both on the same Hard Disk requires forethought and planning, so Resear.... etc etc.

I have currently installed windows 7 but I want to dual boot windows 10 through Easybcd software.

Hi

EasyBCD is a BOOT MANAGER tool.

It cannot, and does not, install the Operating System.

It just adds an existing OS to an existing BOOT MANAGER.

You will have to use a Partition Manager, shrink any existing partitions to make space for Windows 10.

Create new partitions.

Install Windows 10 and then use EasyBCD to add the Windows 7 Operating System to it, or add the newly installed W10 to the existing W7 Boot Manager.

BACKUP EVERYTHING BECAUSE YOU RISK LOSING ALL YOUR DATA,

AND THE STRESS OF THE NEW OS CAN CAUSE PREMATURE DISK FAILURE.

What you are attempting is a risky, expensive and time consuming venture.

Virtual Box is not really for beginners, but is less problematic, and is a Lo-Cost/No-Cost possibility.
